ROHM has developed a dedicated system power management ic for Intel's new quad core Atom processor, codenamed 'Bay Trail'.
Due to launch this summer, Bay Trail is a 22nm chip specifically designed for tablets which promises double the performance of the company's current generation 32nm processors.
Dr Takahisa Yamaha, managing director and head of ROHM Semiconductor, said: "Intel's most advanced process technology delivers the highest performance with the lowest power consumption in the tablet market.
"Customers will enjoy the benefit of a fully integrated pmic which delivers improved battery life and higher integration." _________________ buy my car |
